GREATER ATLANTA VETERINARY
MANAGER'S ASSOCIATION
December 22, 2008
Dear Hospital Manager,
As we approach the beginning of a new year, we look forward to continued membership growth in the Greater Atlanta Veterinary Manager's Association. For those of you that are currently members, we appreciate your interest and continued support. I hope to see more new members in 2009 and am committed to taking our Association to the next level as we begin our fourth year.
Our mission as an organization is to provide more detailed and focused continuing education. Helping the managers and the entire management team solve problems with issues such as marketing, human resources, client retention and meeting financial goals will be a priority for the Association in 2009. It is particularly important as we face such difficult economic times.
That being said, I am extremely excited to tell you about a practice analysis program that will be INCLUDED with all GAVMA memberships for 2009. Implementation of the program for your individual hospital is quick and easy and there is no charge for members of the GAVMA. It is as simple as filling out a questionnaire about your hospital. The questionnaire will encompass multiple areas of veterinary hospital management and performance. Results from all participating hospitals will provide a benchmark for comparison to other similar hospitals. The information you provide is strictly confidential. You will be able to access information through on-line participation and get answers to particular questions based on the outcome of the analysis. Simply put, you can get answers to your questions without ever leaving your computer.
If you feel you need more in depth analysis of your particular hospital's issues, you can request that a consultant come to your hospital for discussion. There is a nominal fee for this service. However, if the questions are answered thoroughly and honestly, a consultation should not be necessary. Remember, the feedback from the on-line service will be excellent.
I am excited about this opportunity for each of you. Again, this is an extremely valuable tool free of charge for GAVMA members! Enclosed you will find a sheet to update information with a box to check if you are interested in participating in the practice analysis. Please include this with your check for 2009 dues of $50.00.
I look forward to seeing each of you at our January meeting and wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
Sincerely,
Judi Bailey
President, GAVMA
